Mays representing MHS in All-Star game

Marmaduke's Jordan Mays will join the East team tonight in the AHSCA All-Star girls' basketball game at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.

Laying the groundwork


Members of Paragould Light, Water and Cable's (PLWC) Electric division install the sleeve for one of the new light-emitting diode (LED) light poles on Highway 49 at 14th Street. Clockwise from front are Patrick Baines, Mike Hampton, JoJo Williams and Austin Hibbard. PLWC crew leader David Ritchie said the project would continue as far north as Eight-Mile Creek. "We'll stop there because we will not be able to put the poles up near the airport," Ritchie said.
